Film Review :- The Post
The story of this film is the story of the America's Controversy which caught 4 Presidents and forced the first woman publisher and editor of the country to investigate. This long fight between the government and journalists is the center of this film.Review:
'The Post' tells the story of Pentagon Papers which show the journey of the two main characters. These two characters try to solve the fight between the White House and the Press, the Rashtrapati Bhavan of America, about what the government is trying to hide about the Vietnam War. This film is full of energy. Steven Spielberg's direction is as good as ever. Also the production value and acting of the film is unmatched. This is a wonderful drama about journalism.
The best thing about 'The Post' is its speed, the speed with which Spielberg has told this story really surprises you. Graham (Meryl Streep), the two main pillars of the film, who are publishers of The Post, have the ability to do wonders against men's thinking; And Ben Bradley (Tom Hanks) editor of The Post, who never asks the question of what should be printed in the newspaper.
The speed that The Post catches in just 15 minutes of the film's start makes it more of a thriller film than a journalistic drama. The Post's story has a lot of potential, it's a must-read story and Steven Spielberg has linked together several parts: government, intelligence and lies - and picking them all up in the print media's newsroom.
Acting and technical parts:
Now Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks are in the lead roles in the film, this is a living class of acting. The chemistry between these two also takes the film to a different level. While watching the film, it is not sure why no one has ever cast these two together.
The screenplay of Liège Hanna and Josh Singer is a research work written and they have read the story of the Pentagon Papers published in the 1971 Washington Post.
Overall, it can be said that The Post can be placed at the top of Spielberg's best films.
